Next is the Sten sub-machinegun. The Sten originated in the United Kingdom and began production in 1940. Over 3.7-4.6 million were built. The Sten uses a 32 round "stick" clip , just like the MP40. The Sten was used by many countries, including the United States. It is very distinct from other guns because the clip is to the side of the gun.

Another German gun, the MP40 is a sub-machine gun that was used extensively by german paratroopers, tank crews, platoon and squad leaders, and other troops during World War 2. All MP40 clips are a 32 round "stick" clip. Approximately 1 million were built between 1940 and 1945. Its main user is Germany and is also a very popular gun in the Call of Duty series.

Kar98k
The Karabiner 98 kurz, often abbreviated the Kar98k, was a standard weapon given to German infantry in World War 2. It is a bolt-action rifle with a 5 round "stripper" clip. Some other features are the optional use of a bayonet or a grenade launcher. It is one of the main guns in the Call of Duty series.

Thompson Sub-Machine Gun
Next up is the Thompson, or "Tommy" Sub-Machine gun. You have probably heard the name. It started production in 1921 and over approximately 1,700,000 have been built. It has 2 different types of clips. It has a "stick" clip, and the more popular "drum" clip. The stick clips have 20-30 rounds. The drum clips have 50-100 rounds. It was one of the most favored guns of World War 2.
