The minigun is a Gatling gun-like machine gun. It has 7.62 mm rounds at a very high rate..... up to 6,000 rounds per minute! It is electricity operated. Its "magazine" is an ammo belt. It has been in service since 1963 and is still used in the present. It is capable of literally splitting targets in half. It is used extensively on aircraft.
